The body detailing is almost done, I just need to put the screen in the winterization hatch and get some new horns. Whats got me stuck right now is the handrails, I cant straighten mine out. Plus I lost a few parts, oh well. I still need to remove the front fuel tank portion of the frame (the fuel tank itself is finished).
Other projects got in the way for the time being.

No problem Joerg! Glad you found my little build thread useful!
On a side note, one thing had left off of these SD10s was the classification lights as the parts were back ordered. I received an email this weekend stating those parts are being shipped this week. So, I will be revisiting these units to add the class lights and fiber optics. I still need to add the DCC controllers in them as well...

Well, the classification lights are finally in hand. I've been side lined by a couple of issues. Namely a bike crash at the end of June in which my right humorous was shattered. I had surgery where they placed a metal rod down the inside of the bone to reconstruct the fragments. Still in physical therapy just for range of motion. I see the surgeon next week. Hope to get to move on to doing more. Like pickup my 6 month old daughter...

Damn, Bob, we sure hope you are doing all right. Good luck, and take your time with the rehab process, those types of injuries require a LOT of patience to overcome.

That MILW is lookin' good. I have a fondness for those early GP and SD units.
As one who takes the ol' bike out sometimes for a spin, you gotta be careful out there. Get well soon.

Thanks, Dan. I saw the surgeon on Monday. Still have to wear the splint for another month and now am allowed to lift up to 10lbs. He says healing, but not healed. Doubt I'll get to ski this season either... I am learning patience...
