What a great concept and great build! I wonder if Jim would do those decals in N scale so I could build a pair of LEOs for The Skally Line.

You know Jim is a super nice guy, just give him a call to find out. I am not sure what it takes besides resizing the image.

I'll be doing mine in the standard scheme with just a small LEO and CAT decal. I hope it is OK, I have drawn them up on my sheet to be produced by Microscale. I am going to set them up on my sheet so they are grouped together. I will have plenty of them so.... Again, I hope this is OK with the owner of the design.

Brian that is completely ok. Let the LEO rebuilds flow.

I think I may do one or two built at Juniata, only difference mine will use the V20 QSK 120 rated at 5000hp. As I prefer Cummins engines. They use a 4 turbo system with twin exhaust output. Guys don't forget Caterpillar isn't the only large bore diesel builder and this could warrant different decals not to mention electrical boxes and other add ons.

Conrail45dash2-- I haven't heard of the Cummins being used for a locomotive before but I am sure it is possible. I am interested in seeing the idea you have in your mind about what this will look like.
A quick update. Painting is almost complete and once I get it clear coated I will post pictures. I have a couple other engines I have to get done but this is on the top of the list for my stuff to get completed. Stay tuned.

Cummins engines were used in some loco's way back when. More modern examples would be the two CNW HE-15 rebuilds in 1980, as well as some of the Gen-Set loco's. Well I will be. I never knew a Cummins was ever put in a loco. Very interesting exhaust, kinda like a heavy machine exhaust stack. I am a believer now.
Though I like Cat engines for locos,I was very fond of my Dodge with a Cummins 5.9L. Didnt care for the Dodge to much that 5.9L was just awesome. If my Ford 6.4L ever breaks down I will have a 5.9L installed.

I work with the V16 QSK 50 everyday at work along with some big MTU engines in our frac pumps. I can take picture of the setup of the engines and the exhaust and such if you like. I have had Dodge Cummins trucks my whole life, all I will own. I also like Cat engines, just have no experience with the large bore ones just up to the C18
