Jim at Highball Graphics has already done the Grand Rapids, Mid Michigan and Michigan Shore sets for me before. He has the artwork on file, but you'll have to ask him as it's not a stock listed item. I just ordered more myself.
Mark.

Laid some paint down today. I need to still paint finer details and add the stripes. I think Im going to use white trim film to do the stripes. I didnt want to bother with masking stripes and worrying about them not being even. And I had a slight bit of overspray I need to touch up as well, but I dont think it came out too bad!

Nice, that sure is glossy. Did you use a gloss clear coat or is that straight from the paint? Decal stripes I think would be the easiest for that application. Looking good so far.

Yea, it is glossy unfortunately. That is the paint. I hope weathering and dullcote will take the shine away...

Well shiny is great for decaling, so it is good that it is shiny. Yes the dullcoat or a flat finish will get rid of the shine.

I didnt know a shiny surface is good for decals. Thanks for the compliments!
Catt, I wish it would too. Ive only seen this locomotive in real life, one time. It was going through Ionia heading to the bumper plant. Still carried the 5106 number as well.

Coming right along ! Too late now, but the decal set from Jim includes the white stripes. While you are waiting, don't forget the red panel on top of the short hood ! Mark.

You said that there are blemises on the white strip? If so when the decals from Highball get to you ,you can use the stripes from that sheet to put ontop of the stripes you have on there now and it should take care of all that.

It's crazy how locos stray from their "homes". I have Huron & Eastern operating the line through my town and most of the time it's either a New England Central or a Central Oregon and Pacific loco working it. I'm sure it'll end up back in GR someday

I feel like Im moving way too slow on finishing this unit, but some more pics: Im a little upset, I lost a few pieces to this engine when I was building it. Ive toen apart my workbench and surrounding areas to find them and no luck, grr. Im going to try to get the handrails painted this week. I got some Duplicolor plastic adhesive spray Ive read about to keep handrails from flaking.
