I started this a couple of weeks ago over here: dieseldetailer.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=what&action=display&thread=6156Today I had a little bit of time to work on it. A few more grab irons installed along with a few lift rings and the handrail along the hood. After searching for a match to the handrail brackets on the prototype, I decided to use the coupler lift bar brackets from Details Associates. I think they look good so that's all that counts ;D Need to go get more #80 drills....dang things break so easy.

Mike,
Great job on detailing the old BB SW1500! I am doing the same thing with my MP15AC build, with the handrails mounted on the hood. I used the Detail Associates coupler lift brackets as well but used part #102213, these are brass and hold up to handling better than the plastic one.

Thanks Scott, I will have to remember that if I decide to do another one of these.

Mike, one thing that i have found is that the #79 drills are much stronger, while basically the same size.
