Started this one the other day...this will get all the details and weathering. Have to order the AAR sideframes, can't find them anywhere. Managed to get the windows and the stanchion holes filled in, the prototype has the handrail that runs along the hood. Here's the prototype: thecrhs.org/image/view/6898/_originalDoes anyone know what that pipe coming out of the side at the bottom is for??

Does anyone know what that pipe coming out of the side at the bottom is for?? Mike, that is the engine air box drain from the engine room sump. In today's world, the railroads catch that oil in retention tanks to keep it out of the environment.

Smokey Valley also has the side frames, and they come with roller bearings, I believe kit #24 is for the Athearn truck.
