Scott,
Do you have a photo or photo link of the prototype you are modeling. I would like to see what it looks like.
Also, is this slug going to be a non-powered model?

Scott,
I look forward to seeing what you do with this new one. Your existing one is pretty darn good. Your new one with whats available today should be down right awesome!
Please keep us posted with photos. I really look forward to seeing the set done up. That should be pretty impressive.

That first pic of 501 is pretty cool. Looks like it was taken in Longview Texas at the rear entrance to the Longview Train Club.

Jay, I don't have a caption of where that one was taken, but longview sounds good to me. I took that picture!

Lookin' Good, Scott! Tell us about those air hose fittings. Looks like a modified DW part. I gotta do something similar for one of my projects (no sense in wearing my brain out when yours is doing such a good job, eh?) ;D

MU'ed together would be too cool. I have always hesitated about doing that, especially between steam locomotive and tender. That said, it adds a lot to the overall realism when in place, so I hope we can see how you make it work!

I feel for you, Scott. The only thing worse than dropping it, is stepping on it while you are trying to pick it up.....my eyes water just thinking about it, kinda like biting your tongue while eating some really good BBQ

Looks really good. I especially like the cabling for the electrical connections. Got me inspired to dig back out a slug project I started many years ago.

Smoke, I don't think so, at least I have never found any photographic evidence to support it, nor do I have any photos of Southern engines pooling on the Katy. We could fix that issue of Southern not pooling with Katy. ;D

You are doing a great job on that slug. I'm anxious to see it complete. Along with my MT6 project, I have a couple more slug units I'm eye balling at this time. I think slugs are fun to build and tend to be challenging. I know you'll agree to that. Good work!
