Those are great. Why is the strobe by the fuel tank?

Its a remote control unit, so I'm guessing for safety reasons.

Very nice job.... How about a little "How to" clinic on the build of the slug?

Hi !
My 7200 is under construction with the slug !
Can you post a closer picture of the "thing" in the front of the long hood ?
Does the sound are real for remote control ?
Thanks !

What are the yellow "curb feelers" for on #7056, are they drain hoses?

Very nice job on those units I've shot a few of those around Toronto on the locals and yard jobs. The lighting on that slug mother is impressive.

Those are great. Why is the strobe by the fuel tank? All early Canadian CN unit equipped with Beltpack (remote control) have 4 Red strobe lights, Top front and rear hood and both side above the fuel tank for more visibility by other crews working around on the ground. Today, GP9rm's are still equipped that way but it not the case for other units, One strobe on the cab roof and ready to go.....

Very nice job.... How about a little "How to" clinic on the build of the slug? About the Slug. I custom built a master it with styrene and P2K GP9 running board. I asked someone to cast it in resin and about 25 copies of this slug were sold in 3 Montreal hobby shop and now all sold out. A lots people ask me for a slug so: I replaning to redo a new master shortly and cast them by my self and sold them....

Very nice work, love the beacons on the remote unit. The slug looks great too, is it powered (guess I should read the post first, then look at the pictures and comment eh?)? I keep holding off on my slug project until I can figure a way to power it. It looks like Railflyer will be the answer I've been waiting for! Yep My slug is dummy..... It was not enough room to put a motor in it unless a small can motor, NWSL powered trucks, but one dummy engines in my fleet isn't bug me at all.

Nice work! Good luck on the powered slug, I've got an Overland GP9/slug set with the slug powered, it sure is a tight fit for the motor. Getting a decoder into it was really tight, but I managed to find some room. -Trevor
