What colors/brand of paint do you use? Also, what decals do you use?
Great job on the locomotive.

The paint I used is as follows: Light green- Testors Model Master 4739 Pale Green Dark Green- Testors Model Master 2116 Imp Japan Army Navy Green Yellow- Polly Scale Reading Yellow Decals are Microscale 87-163 BCR Diesels
I hit a bit of a stumbling block with the handrails, once I figure out how the front stanchions are assembled I'll post some more photos! -Trevor

Getting near the home stretch! I've installed the photo etched handrails and all weather window, added a TCS T1 decoder, as well as working lights. The photo etched drop steps seemed a bit oversized, so I'm going to use the steps that came with the RS-27 (once I paint them). I need to fab up the MU plate for the front and rear handrails, then do the final weathering. -Trevor

Very spiffy, Trevor. Alco's north of the border are sooooo cool.

That is an outstanding job Trevor, the weathering is top notch, must have been nerve racking applying those first touches of grime to that engine!

The weathering was a little nerve racking, mostly because it was the 1st time I've used a double action airbrush for weathering (usually use a single action). In the end it came out pretty good, although I do have to get a couple more MV lenses for the large diameter headlights. -Trevor

Awesome work Trevor! The weathering is excellent! I like the rust along the bottom of the long hood.

This is very well done, GREAT JOB!! Do you have a layout that you can post some photos of the unit on?
So what is next on the shop floor?

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm building a layout right now, but it' Rio Grande narrow gauge in On30! (at least I can run some HO stuff on it). I've got tons of stuff on the bench right now (who doesn't) some of the model s include an Alberta Railnet C30-7, MRL SD35 and RCC caboose, and I just started tinkering with a Point One models S-13 kit. To top it off, I'm really itching to start another RS-18! -Trevor

Looks FANTASTIC.
Say, you still have remaining parts from the RS27?
