So the U23B does appear to be the way to go. Looks like it's time for me to venture out into the world to find one of these trucks to play around with. The FB2 truck and the Blombergs share the same wheelbase, so the same truck is used, and is why the U23B , and probably the B23/30-7 model use a different truck design.
Otherwise Atlas would have 2 different frames.
Mopac & Sant Fe both had the AAR-B trucks... Just watched one sell for 40.
