Michael, what did you use for the two clear beacons?? These are the strobe lights from an Atlas AEM-7, they are available directly at Atlas...

That has got to be the best BQ23 i have seen. Gotta love them odd ball locomotives, they make railroading that much more interesting.

The prototypes were built that way so the whole crew could ride in the cab, eliminating the need for cabooses. Ironically, they ended their days with all the interiors ripped out, the windows plated over, and designated B units. Hmm... Maybe a late-career BQ23-7 would be interesting, with the windows plated and "Do Not Occupy" stencils on the doors... The wheels are turning... Too bad most of my stuff is N scale.
