Hi there peeps not exactly rail related, but here's what's been occupying my bench time of late. Deadline was beginning of Feb so just squeaked it in. For anyone wondering, the markings are RNZAF, NZ2518. It's 1:48 scale (close to O guage) Now I can get back to my rail projects!

Wow thats outstanding. Theres a whole different kind of painting and weathering detail needed for that compared to what we do for trains. Really cool looking. Lots better than any of my plane models ever looked.

WOW Mike, I can't take my eyes off that TBM! Always loved the Navy tri colours...
Too bad you're so far away...I have a 1/48 S2F tracker that I would gladly pay you to build!!!

That's some pretty impressive work there Sean, all the more so because of its "small" size! I've not seen many 1:87 aircraft kits, I had no idea that they had their own following and dedicated website. Mine eyes have been opened Thanks for the link, Mike A

Thanks for the compliment! It's probably just as well I'm so far away, as the tracker is one of my favourites. Apart from that, my bench is full up with models for the magazine I contribute to (Scale Aircraft Modelling). Actually, there was an article on the Tracker in a recent edition, if you search for Scale Aircraft Modelling on Facebook there's some photos of it on there. The builder (it wasn't me!) did a superb job of it.

I've not seen many 1:87 aircraft kits, I had no idea that they had their own following and dedicated website. Mine eyes have been opened Thanx! Yeah, aside from a 1/87 Jolly Green Giant I have yet to build, there isn't much in HO scale, and even less in my 1980 layout era. I have 2 more F4s (F4B and RF4C to build in Vietnam SEA schemes. I have some 1:100 scale F15s and F14s but I'm not going to build them until the airfield on the layout is built so I can place them for perspective. I'm afraid to start the Tracker cuz its an awesome kit...
