Hi everyone,
I'm currently working to super detail a 'caddy'. I started with an old Athearn Bluebox, which I've already started superdetailing. I have removed (by scraping, sanding etc) the cast on ladders on the nose etc, and want to replace them by a set of ladders from Details Associates. I am struggling a bit in doing so though, I just can't seem to 'steady' the ladder sides as the instructions suggest to tape them to a surface, and then string the ladder rungs through. (they keep falling over) Any suggestions on how to tackle this project in a different way? If all else fails, are there other ladders I could use?
Cheers,
Koos

Koos, if you can build those blankety blank ladders, you're a better man than me. lol
You might try pinning the brackets to a piece of wood, and then assemble it.

glad to see I'm not the only one 'struggling' a little with those :-)
Thanks for the suggestion, now looking for some 0.012" pins...... ;-)

I've used ATLAS #750255 ladders many times. Karl

Can you recommend an 'online' shop that would be able to order these? do these come in sets of 4 or less? I'd be interested in looking at these to see if they're nice enough and saves me having to get headaches from the DA ones....

You have to buy them direct from Atlas, and the last time I checked they were out of stock.

That's what I was afraid of, I didn't see them on their site recently, but their online shop is down for maintenance at present. Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and stick with the DA's for now :-)
