One thing I see you did was go over the whole louver section of the hood with grey. If you go back on that with mineral spirits or dio-sol, you should be able to remove quite a bit of it and just leave the grey inside the louvers themselves. If you check the proto photo, you'll see that's how they typically looked. When I do my own, I use thinned oils and a brush to highlight each louver grill and then remove the excess paint with mineral spirits. Just look for something that gently cuts your weathering paint but doesn't attack the finish very fast--that's where I've had good luck with mineral spirits.
