Hi, folks - I'm building a model of a Clinchfield SD45-2 for a friend. Starting from the Athearn kit, I hope to add as many details as I can to make this a nice gift. I have a few reference pics of such locos on the CRR, but I'm having trouble finding some up-close detail shots in general of an SD45-2. In particular, I'm trying to find pics for 1.) the spaghetti of wiring and piping beneath the deck. (FYI -- I'm new enough to the hobby that I really have no idea what all those little details are, such as air dryers (?), a speed recorder (?), etc). 2.) uncoupler levers, MU hoses, etc., around the front and rear. 3.) roof shots, although I know that's an area that varies a lot from engine to engine. Any references you can point me to would be appreciated. Cheers! Nate

Thanks, Brian!
I found those model shots, too -- definitely inspiring. The prototype pics are especially helpful! I hope to post my progress as I go. I just purchased a bunch of parts from Cannon and Details West. I think they'll do the trick.
Here's a follow-up question: any idea what kinda of antenna were found on the roof of CRR SD45-2s? perhaps the answer lies in the links you provided.
Cheers, Nate

Ric, Perry -- many thanks! The roof pics are a good resource for some other projects I have in mind and great for weathering ideas. Also, the details from Brian's model are terrific. Very inspiring. Thanks for everyone's help! Cheers, Nate
