I guess I need to stop in here once in a while. Work's been really busy lately, so time is somewhat limited. That SP SD39 was built back in 1995. That thing is over twenty years old now. The Santa Fe unit was built shortly afterwards, but then I procrastinated. I kind of liked looking at it with all the bare parts. I finally installed DCC and sound. Light weathering, clear coats and window glazing is all that's needed. Oh yeah, and windshield wipers.

I know I'm late but wow. This thing is amazing to look at, and then to know that the whole thing was built in parts even down to the frame... Impressive, to say the least.

It's up to the original poster to come in and edit their own posts to re-display the images. Unfortunately, many of the people who use to be here frequently aren't as much anymore. That's a shame in itself of course. They may not be aware their images are hidden, or are not concerned about it because they have moved on to Facebook and left this and other forums behind. And replacing posts is a very time consuming thing in itself. I did it for my posts here and elsewhere.

Ah, no they don't. They have the small image that comes up on the search page but when clicking on it and then click on "Visit" for visiting the page you are brought back to here while clicking on "View Image" you are taken to the crappy Photobucket page which has nothing to show.
That said once you right-click on the image on the search page you can choose to "View Image" using whatever your browser is set up for and it will show you the shot rather small. At least you can see some of the details but not to any great extent...

Has anyone tried to email the original poster through the website here? Clicking on the User's Name will bring up their profile page where you can at least send a message. It could prove useful if someone contacted him through this messaging to see if he would repost his shots.

Messages created here are not sent to a recipient's email, but just to their inbox here. The result of course is that it relies on that person coming to this site, seeing the message, and responding to it. I have a couple of messages out to members seeking some images from some time ago that are now hidden, hoping that the message will someday be seen. One can hope. I've wondered if the site owner can send an 'announcement' email to all on the list, letting them know what has happened and asking for those willing to do so come back and update links to their photos if they have a new host for the original images.

SD39 unpainted by Chris Zygmunt, on Flickr Let's see if I can get this to work. Photobucket wanted me to pay and then they restricted how many pictures I can have uploaded. I just deleted the account. Chris

Hi chris, was wondering if you're still reading the board I would certainly like to see a repost of your sd39 project. Have been working on one of those for myself but I've been trying to get some ideas about techniques and such problem being that none of the photos associated with your post are available presently was hoping maybe you could repost it? I am very interested to see the progress and development of that model
