I've wanted a Paducah geep but I was leaning at a GP10, But when the shell of a GP9 turned out to be a GP7 I went ahead all the same. I got the hood choped and cab windows/numberboardin in place I am working on the air filter no photos yet but it is looking SWEET, I mean this is making me drool . It sits on a old athearn GP35 framethat has been worked on. Sam.

I've been working a lot lately, but managed to work on the locomotive. Take a look. Soon will be ready for paint, But still needs horn. This is my first try at brass hand rails. Sam.

nice work Sam! looks like you had to cut the fuel tank a bit to get the two air reservoirs on there.

nice work Sam! looks like you had to cut the fuel tank a bit to get the two air reservoirs on there. Ya the lower half of the model started out as an athearn BB GP35. My Dad milled the frame and tank to accept the front range shell and air tanks. One little mess up is on most Paducah geeps they cut a chunk out of the battery box on the fire mans side and lower the handrails. (Not my photo)So I guess that makes it a chop nose GP7, I'll fix it on the next one. Sam.

The PNC unit is mine. I had a few Athearn GP's so I used them. Plus, growing up in Bloomington, IL it was easy to see the PNC units on the ICG. I'm working on another one as I found some more PNC Decals.

For the past few weeks there has not been much going on in the train room/work bench, but I have this to show you. An GP8 update, so far I have done all major rebuilding, details, paint, and some decals. It still needs the large flank (side) decals, windows, handbrakes, lights, DCC, coupler work, and a few tweeks. here's a shot of the top. And some action shots, Leading a train.... And working the local industries. Still a long way to go, but I hope You like the photos. Sam.

Me too The best part is I think I only spent $20 on the hole thing. I also think this would be a parts box model, but to tell you the truth I don't have much of a parts box yet . Sam.
