trainshooterman.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1368545trainshooterman.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1368546I'm having a hard time finding a grill set for SW1500s. I know someone makes a set to retro fit the radiators on SW1500s, But I cannot find anything anywhere... I know I have seen some pictures on the net somewhere because I remember it was a brass mesh being used with the correct rectangular pattern, Not square. Doas any one know who makes a kit I can use? If you notice in the photo links above, The stainless mash is not right. But can be used. One screen is going to have to be replaced as of now due to the fact I bent it a bit to far and it broke. So, This is where I'm stuck at for now. In my mind, I'm not satisfied enough. How about some ones else's input on the photos above. Thanks, David S.

Ahh, Thanks SO MUCH!!! That is exactly what I was looking for and could not find!!! I just hope the opening I have now cut is not to big to go back and place these parts in. It will look so Much better! And I have looked at those very photos! What I did was murder! It looks like crap... I will keep the grids I built. The stanless square mesh is just right for GEs which is what I use it for.
Thanks again Miguel!!!

What this old thing? home.xcountry.tv/~r.hamilton/2506.htmYou wouldn't want to see it now. Some fool (me) picked it up by the shell when I hadn't properly seated it and the drive dropped about 12 - 15" to the layout ripping wires from the Loksound decoder, smashing the rear conducters sideframe apart and other frame mounted parts.

Thank you all for your in put, I have to get my hands on that stuff and a Plano catilog!!! Also thanks for the links! That project will be on hold untill I get some of this stuff. I just thought I would give the stanless mesh a try and it's not going to look as good as the Plano parts.

Well,
This is a reply to a very old message, but it might help someone else who finds an old BB at a train show or something. I ordered two MP15 parts from Atlas and worked them into fitting the Athearn SW1500. I will put pics up as soon as I can.
The specific part numbers are:
990202 - Radiator 990217 - Grill top
