Here is a photo of the castings I made from my N Scale version of the Hi-Ad truck. I just saw the photo of the HO Scale Hi-Ad truck that Bowser is making on their Facebook page, nice. I wonder why Atlas has'nt made an N Scale C636 yet. This loco was Alco's last bid to stay in buisness and just the High Horsepower competion that, EMD.GE, and Alco where involved in at the time should warrant a model. I was able to see these and the other Centuries in action at Ashtabula,Ohio in the late 70s taking iron ore up the the hill to mills the south. 3 units up front 3 in the middle and 2 on the rear. all manned, notch 8. It was kind of scary actually but it made for a good show. Attachments:

Limited interest roadnames... SP&S, BN, IC, PC... not a lot of roads purchased the units. They were ALCO's last hurrah but the damage to their reputation was already done.
Great sideframes!!! I seem to recall someone else in N doing these sideframes for a couple of kitbashings... spcifically the poster above!!! He has done a number of truly fine ALCO models and rarely backs down from a challenge!!!

I think Briggs models did these I know that CC - CONCOR introduced a ALCO C636, I have 4 in N-SCALE. I'm not sure if CC had one in HO.

Thanks Jerry, but these sideframes are much better than mine. Tom, the Con-Cor C-636 can provide good parts to make a reasonable C-636, but the actual CC version is too short. The photo below shows the 2 versions I have built. The Penn Central one is done with a Life-Like C-424 on a Kato chassis, the other one used Atlas C-630 parts and drive, both used sections of the CC shell, shown in black on the Atlas version. The next photo is of a Briggs M-630 Kit, modified to represent a CP Rail M-636. The Alco and MLW versions are significantly different. Cheers Steve
