What is the spacing used under the handrails? I know some use a plastic stock but what size?

Zack
I use a piece of strip styrene .030 X .156 wide for 17" to 18" grab irons with decent results.

Yup. A stripe of .030 styrene works for me.

Took the tape measure to the local GP-7 this week. The hand grabs on the hood ends are 1" diameter and stand 4.25" from the hood. This total of 5.25" equals .060 in HO. I would think a minimum of .040 spacing would be better, even more if you use scale 1" grabs.
