Has anybody ever applied the Plano louvers before? Got a GP11 project going on and need to apply some both in Cannon Doors and a box. Do you trim these as close as possible, inlay them somehow?
Thanks

Wayne, All you need to do is trim the louver from the fret and remove the stubs with a small file. They aren't recessed into the hood doors and go directly on the outside of the plastic door. Here is a prototype shot: Here is the model shot. These are the louvers from Detail Associates and at the time, the Plano one's weren't available. I will use the Plano louvers on future models as the DA ones are a pain to install because they are molded on a plastic fret and you have to sand them down to make them paper thin. How you install them is to drill a hole through the shell and then fill the hole with CA. Be careful in placing it down becuse when you do, the louver will pull the CA through the hole and spread it over the back of it and you are done. Perry
