This is another model that has more of less been on the back burner, she's been sitting on my workbench since April of 2010. The prototype was built as BN 6490 then sold to CNW as their 6490 and finally to M-K. Anyway, finally got it done! This unit was extremely filthy. I guess that's what happens to a Zito painted unit after it's been working for the SP! lol Another E-bay find, after getting it I thought, hmmm? Should I do a SP SD40M-2 or M-L lease unit? Well, you know who won that debate! I left the factory paint alone, scrapped off the CNW lettering and numbers then patched it and added the MK Leasing logo and numbering...then weathered the heck out of it! Added details include fine-scale MU's, MU stands, cut-bars, horn (RS3L), firecracker antenna, strobe base, speed recorder cable, etc, etc. Weathered to match prototype photos from the early 1990's. Model features operating headlights. Thanks for looking!

Between the paint and the dirt the unit really does look like it has some miles on it! Nicely done, I like it!
