Ns In 2004 decided to rebuild some of there aging gp50's. 37 gp38-3's were built. They chopped the nose ,replaced the turbo with blowers, and removed the middle exhaust fan Here's the prototype Here's some more of my model 75% done

That also is a good model ther either ex sou or N&W locos i have an article on parts needed for that build

Finally got the A/C on the cab and the shell on the frame. Here it is with my NS gp38-2 behind it Horn and handrails and she's done

Looks like it's off to a good start, are you going to add more details, separate grabirons or hoses?

Not on this one. I just started playing around with detail parts and I'm going to start installing grab irons on my 2 NS sd60m's. I'm not to picky about all my engines being super detailed, but I will have some
