Hey I need a little help..I am trying to remove some decals I installed on a engine sometime back.They are Microscale and they have been set on with Solvaset .They are on almost like paint..Is there any product or way to remove them with out messing up the paint?

try nail polish remover. It is basically acetone heavily diluted with water and other chemicals. I dab it on decals with a Q-tip let it set for about 30 seconds, and then rub away. You may need to experiment with the amount of set time as it can vary somewhat depending on the brand of remover and the thickness and chemistry of the paint and decal. Maybe dab a small amount on somewhere on the model where if you make a mistake it wont show or at least will be easy to touch up

I used rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip on the ones I did. Just go slow.

You could try tapeand then use rubbing alchohol. I have done the tape method before and some of the decal comes off.

You after posting my thread I did a search and under the Microscale page they said to use the tape method and it worked for the most part,then it said to soak in water but I am not going to do that as the shell has other decals on it that I want to keep.I am just going to repaint those areas and reclear the whole thing..........Thank you for ya'lls imput......
