g'day, my name is steve and I am a detailoholic and I am glad that I did find this forum. great stuff to see here. I was born in Switzerland but I did move to New Zealand nearly four years ago. I don't have a layout (yet...) but I do a lot of custom detailing and custom painting. most of the engines I have done so far are all N scale but I hope I can "show them off" here anyway... ...and learn a lot for my next projects. I actually have a SD9043MAC, a SD40-2 and a SD60M on my workbench at the moment (all H0) and somehow it is much easier for my eyes to detail those engines... some N scale engines I did detail and paint... Welcome Steve. I like the U33C also. As you get older, the larger scales are easier to see. If I lived in a mansion, I would switch to proto 48.

I just clued in on that INRD SD90MAC Steve. Where did you get decals for that unit? Hasn't the prototype only been painted for about a month? I did print my own decals for this model, now the decals are available from Highball Graphics in N, H0 and 0 scale... www.mgdecals.com/homepage.htm...yes these engines are really fresh, #9002 did left the paint shop last week after my model was finished I got an eMail from a modeller who was in the paint shop and he did send me pictures of the roof and so I have had to change the model... ...all the anti-skid patches are painted black
