Those do look nice. A four unit helper set, huh? What are the other units that will be running with these two?

Those do look nice. A four unit helper set, huh? What are the other units that will be running with these two? Thanks Kevin, Glad you like the way they turned out. ;D The typical helper sets that worked out of Eugene and could be found in the yard, or tied down at Oakridge were mixes of SD's most of the time. They would be 40T-2's, 45T-2's, 45T-2R's, SD45R's sometimes a 40R or MK rebuild was in the mix. These units worked the Cascade Sub between Eugene and Chemult Oregon. Here's a Video of some typical power from the mid 80's, nothing really changed as far as needs or assignments right up until the merger. The two point SD45T-2's ( the two at the rear of the consist) are dead, victims of thermal shutdown from the many long tunnels and merciless grade.. 21 tunnels between Eugene and Cascade Summit. Tunnel 22 is 2200 foot long, dubbed the "engine killer " Paul
