Im assembleing the fuel tank for my re-fueling area on my diorama. I have it painted but the lines along the side still show. Any tricks to making it disappear? I though that once I painted it, the line would narrow or blend in better. I havent glued it together yet as I wasnt sure which way would be easier to paint.

If you are in a hurry, you can also use the medium Zap a Gap in the green bottle and run a small bead along the line. Once it dries I then take a flat bastard file about 1/2" wide and gently file the glue flat and the lines disappear. I use this method when I shorten Kato fuel tanks and reassemble them. Glenn

Definitely putty and sanding. Don't start with too high a grit sandpaper, and work down to something really fine like 600-1000+ for the final sanding. Paint her again and it'll disapear.

OK, just a little update on how this turned out. I didnt have any putty but I did have some of the woodland scencis foam putty. Thought Id give that a try as a filler, and I think it turned out ok. I filled the line, did a little sanding, and re-painted.
