I have always intended on making a quick reference that I could use, but when I do I forget where I put it, but I can find stuff here that interests me all the time, so I am sharing a quick reference guide to plastic thickness and its relation to scale thickness, if anyone else is interested in any other guides I can make some up. Handy little chart! Whenever I need to reverence something like this, I end up rummaging around for the nearest Evergreen Styrene package, as some have a similar chart. This is much easier!

I had placed a chart within a question I had re Archer Rivets, I added the chart to the Diesel Detailing Data, Tips, tricks and techniques, but left my question, as I am hopeful for some responses.

Recently I've been using .001 stainless shim stock for support panels on boxcars. The panels that are often found on stretched 40' boxcars. With the addition of Archer rivets they look terrific. I was wondering what .001 scales out to in HO.

I was wondering what .001 scales out to in HO. Will .001 x 87 = 0.087 a little bit over 1/16" 16 or 15 gauge sheet metal.
