UP road number 4943 was former SP 6822. Originally built in Jan 1974 with frame number 73630-22 and given the road number 9336. 9336 was Rebuilt into SD45T-2R and renumbered as 6822 in Sept 1987 at the Sacramento shops. Retired by the UP 29 Oct 1999... seen in dead line awaiting scrapping in your linked picture. Paul

I also thought that and I also thought maybe they took a grinding wheel to it to get all the loose stuff off before they paint it, but like Paul said, its in the dead line waiting to be scrapped, I would gladly let them donate it to me, they can park it right behind my house. ;D
