Hey All, I finally was able to make it down to the club today and managed to shoot a few photos of the new caboose I kitbashed. Presenting Sand Hill and Western Transfer Caboose #28001. This was my first true kitbash. It was built from a standard Athearn 60' Blue Box Flatcar, with a Moloco Transfer Caboose kit. (Moloco is based in Austrailia). After striping the flatcar, it was painted with Floquil R31 "Reefer Yellow" with Floquil "Roof Brown" for the decking, and Testor's "Model Master's Flat Black" for the roof. The railing was some .032 brass stock bent and I still need to all some end railings. Rolls good and the supplied kit weight was just right. Enjoy!

James,
Great job on the transfer caboose, for your first kitbash you have hit this one out of the park! I do have one suggestion I would like to give you, please dont take this as critisism as I am just trying to be helpful. On the handrails .032 is very thick in HO scale, look at the .012 brass wire for true scale handrails (after painting) or .015 brass wire at the largest for HO scale.
