I actually originally did this Overland Brass B40-8 back in 96, Atlas hadnt come out with thiers yet, and I love the burly G.E.'s. Unfortunately, it had become scratched up and dirty ( not weathing dirty, house dust dirty!) and I really wanted to refine and touch things up. As I have said in a few other posts, I just got back into model railroading not to long ago, and found all my Brass and plastic detail projects and jumped right back into things. I am only submitting the pics here because I like how the weathering came out, even though I didnt have to do much building, I did refine some details here and there to make it even better. Some day I may add Sand Lines, but for now Im happy with it again. Hope you enjoy, Let me know what ya think. P.S. ...If you like clean diesels, this wont be your cup of tea, but this is what they looked like on a good day ;D

Thanks Terry.. I am very happy with it again.. just had to deep clean it and sand out some chips and touch things up. Then I took the time to enhance the weathering too. Glad ya like it. Now I have to get into the TINY gearboxes and relube..it runs great but its squeeking! =D

Thank you Guys for the kind words. It feels great to be getting this stuff out of the boxes and back into some sense of working order again. My P2K GP60 should be here later this week, and I'm looking forward to doing some work to that as well. I plan on running the B40-8, my B30-7, GP40-2 and GP60 as either a 4 unit 4 axel power set or as two pairs for shorter trains. the good news is I have a friend whos got another P2K GP60 for me so I may finish the month off power heavy instead of power short ;D

Thanks for the kind words. ;D I'm glad I took the time to show this Model some love, it was covered with about 15 years of dust. I completely took it all apart and redid what needed to be done and tuned it up, now it looks and runs better then it did when I first painted it 15 years ago. Paul
