Here is a project that I worked on about 8 years ago, ATSF GP7u and a slug. I used a Proto 2000 GP7 undecorated to start out with, then used a spare Rail Power Products cab and added some styrene to get the shape of the "Topeka" cab. everything else was just basic detailing.
