It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so I thought I would show my latest. It is an N scale Kato F3A Phase I that Kato released only once back in '88. I cut out the dynamic brake hatch and removed the small number boards so I could replace them with the larger number boards. Both the number boards and new dynamic hatch were cast in resin using parts from a Kato F7. I also removed 2 fans and replaced with F7 parts. The spark arrestors were made by Loco-Motives (long out of business) back in the 80's. The stirrup steps were removed and replaced with Gold Medal model parts and GMM grabs were also used. I still have a bit of work to do, like work on the putty a little more. I should be able to finish it up in the next week or so and will post final shots then. The loco will be painted for my Trinity River & Western.
