Guys, New to this site and looking for info. Live in No TX and model the FWWR. Currently building locomotives and looking for info on FWWR 2001 radiator grill. Don't have a local supplier that has detail parts on hand and looking for grills. The unit does not have the typical ones of a GP35 it seems to be a corrugated mesh instead of the wire. Does any body know if Cannon has a PN for these. Here is a photo of the unit. www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=269760Thanks for the help Wayne Snyder

Looks Like a FARR grill to me on unit 2001.
Cannon & Co. makes a FARR grill, but not sure if it fits the GP35 size that you need. It is possible that it does though.

The info that i have is it is a EX DRGW GP35 unit number 3050. All the FWWR units are custom units. Currently working on 2001 and 2003 based on Athearn GP35 units. FWWR units 2000 thru 2007 are classified as GP38-3, but they are made from GP35, GP38 and GP40's. I'm using an assortment of detail parts and kit-bashing. Will post some pictures in future when i figure out how.

Hi Wayne - Can't help with the grills, but where do get the decals? I have thought about building one or 2 units myself but don't know where to get them. I have taken photos of FWWR stuff and would like to build this - Any help would be appreciated!

Chuck,
Got mine from Highball Graphics PN L-200. These cover units 2000 thru 2007. For the 1500 the graphics are slightly larger. The FWWR changed there graphics slightly for some of the newer units some of the GP50's and the new SD40's. Also in Dec Athearn is coming out with 2 numbers for the FWWR in the GP50. Looking forward to those to see how nice they are.
