Most people don't know where NB is.... look at a map, look at Maine, hang a right.... there we are.
I'm 28 and I've been into model railroading for 25 years now. No lie... when I was 3, Dad took me to a friend's house, whose father had a HUGE CN themed layout in his basement. All I needed to get hooked. I started off with Tyco and Bachmann and have gone from there.
Only in the last five years or so have I really gotten hardcore into specific model detailing. My current projects at the moment are :
- a CP Rail GP30 (5001) with DCC and sound that I'm trying to build as faithful to the prototype as I can, and for how it appeared in 1995 prior to being retired (very chalky paint, faded multimark, etc).
- An NBSR GP38-2 in yellow Sunbury colors. I'm starting with the Proto GP38-2 here.
Sky's the limit from here. I never know what i might be inspired by or what I might build if the mood strikes me. I know that the last train in Fredericton was hauled by a CN M420R... I hear Kaslo's kit is pretty good, and I have an Atlas U23B to power it...

I'm pretty much a lone wolf modeler at this point. Not too many others around Freddy Beach, that's for sure.

Ah, that sucks. I was actually looking to get some Railflyer steps and assorted decals "straight from the source" :-)
