hey guys, im starting to get ready to order parts from chris at railflyer, and im looking at the brass steps. What is he best product for installing them, ca or a resin?

CA is good for assembling them, but I'd go with epoxy or barge cement to attach them to plastic. That brass to plastic bond isn't going to hold up well with CA.

If you can't find Barge cement, Pliobond is a similar contact cement. I thin my Barge and Pliobond 50% with MEK, applying a thin coat to the PE parts, letting them air cure for a minute and apply to the plastic part. I then run a thin line of MEK (you can also use liquid plastic cement) at the joint between the PE part and the plastic. The solvent dissolves the contact cement and plastic for a tight bond between metal and plastic. I have parts joined like this for better than ten years that show no sign of coming apart.
