Can somebody do me a favor and measure a Dash 8-40B for me? I need front face of front pilot to front face of rear pilot, center front truck to center of rear truck. I'm looking for a frame I can fit to a C-430, and so far the U23B is way too short. The C-430 is supposed to be 4-5 feet longer than a C-425. I've got the hood section from a Stewart C-630 modified and I can see the frame is much longer. I found measurements of the real things, and so far they don't match up using my Mascot HO scale rule, so the Atlas C-425 must be way out of proportion. Just need the measurements of the Dash 8, doesn't have to be HO. www.thedieselshop.us/DataC425.HTMLwww.thedieselshop.us/DataC430.HTMLwww.thedieselshop.us/DataB40-8.HTML

You don't have to use a scale ruler, the measurements will be fine.

Thanks Stephen. I think my cab is at customs or something, I still don't have it.

I got the cab, thank you. On that Alco link that I posted, I found out most of their measurements are wrong.

58 feet pilot face to pilot face. U23B is just a tad short and the body sits too high on it.
