Im trying to attach a small circuit board to the top of the rear weight in an Atlas DCC equipped GP40. The circuit board is used to connect the decoder to lights in the shell so it uses SIP sockets as sort of a quick disconnect panel.
QUESTION What would be the best way to attach the board to the top of the weight? Note the circuit board has exposed copper traces on its bottom side. I thought about using silicone but Im not sure its 100% non-conductive.

Yupper, put tape on the bottom of the board and then put some on the top of the weight. You can use silicon, but there isn't a need to.
