Not to rehash an old thread but at least wanted to say thank you for all the information here!

Today I found one of these for sale in the used bin at the hobby shop. Decided to go for it and got a good deal on it. Have spent all night looking up info. I think I have the American GK version (or maybe walthers) but shes Great Northern 462. I think there are some parts missing from the top but itll be interesting to see what I can get into with this!

Finally got a chance to get my photos uploaded. Needs some TLC and *might* be missing a few parts. but not a bad Hobby Shop find - and an interesting model to say the least!

Thank you! i know the back platform roof over the rear pilot is chipped which will need some repair but i've been doing some research too. this one doesn't have the fairings around the photograph and i'm not sure if it has all the pieces/right placement for the spark arrestors and such so that's been a little bit of a head knocker ahaha. but that's half the fun! I do need to see if she runs and i was told the pantograph can power the locomotive too but i'm not sure about that. I plan on going DCC eventually but need a layout first ;-P
