Hi !
I have some branchline passenger car that i want to put some light inside.
For the alimentation i have thing that i can put battery inside the wagon and i want to install something like between 6-10 LED to illuminate them.
My first question is to know how many time i can illuminate them with the same kit of battery if i put 10 LED by exemple ?
For the material anyone can sell to me or know where i can find the smallest switch as possible and a battery holder ?
It's the first time that i try it, any idea are welcome.
Thanks !

I have no idea where you are based at, but if you have a Radio Shack nearby, they sell a little device for $5, it has a battery pack for two AA batteries, a switch to turn it on and off, and some wires that run to a flashing red LED. I would assume they have other battery packs and switches as well. You might also want to check out Digikey (www.digikey.com), Mouser Electronics (www.mouser.com) Jameco (www.jameco.com) or whatever other major electronics distributors anyone can recommend. I have worked with Digikey extensively, and their catalog is huge. If they don't have it, one of the other two might.

Rapido sells drop in lighting kits. They call it "Easy Peasy" I believe. It is simple to install, and uses a magnetic switch and is battery powered as well.
