this is my D&H RS11 5003. It is a old kato/ atlas RS11 that i painted to reflect the 5003 late in its life . The orignal paint shows thru on the prototype due to the cheap paint the D&H used and i did that on my model. Its not finsihed yet but i cant wait to Attachments:

Thanks ! It started out as a factory painted Lighting stripe RS11. I used D&H avon blue in a few coats over the whole locomotive. I took pine sol and wiped it on the sides of the shell and used a ereser to get some of the paint off like the prototype .

Looks nice, I like the effect. I usually model the New England roads, but have been on a D&H kick lately.

I made more progress on this locomotive.I added the newer atlas side frames and they make a huge difference .It also is weathered and needs a decoder, new handrails ? , numbers for the numberboards and a little more dirt. It looks to clean to be an alco on the D&H .
