Well, I'm almost there...
I have the paint on and decals applied. I just need to finish with the headlight lenses and put the fire retardant tanks on.

Here's a few shots. Still trying to figure out how to embed the picture in the message.

Very sharp. I'm (slowly) starting to work on a TR-4 set for the Milwaukee Road so your progress shots are proving helpful in my planning out that build. I never thought of replacing the cab but thinking about it the Athearn one does leave a lot to be desired.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike-
One thing I discovered was the fact that the TR-6 calf unit's hood did not taper, but was straight the whole way back. Both the Oliver's and the SP units were like that. I also noticed that the TR-5 (?) that the UP had also had no taper. Check your prototype and good luck.
I mounted the cab my placing a .06 strip underneath the toolbox. This allowed me to place two screws directly beneath it to hold it on.
Thanks, Todd

I finally have the units completed. I sent them to a gentleman in the Twin Cities who weathered them for me. This is the finished product.
Thanks, Todd
