Cool looking model...I was just talking with Jay a few days ago about how few western models I see on this board, nice to see an Espee unit! I've been wanting to do one of these for a few years now, they just look cool! And I would have to agree with PEIR, from what I've seen, these units where kept fairly clean as they where only used in yard and transfer runs. A little dirt, dust and rust would not hurt though!

Doesn't really matter how clean the rest of the engine is, you still shouldn't be able to read the ACI label. ;D

Michael, you did a heck of a job on that unit. I like clean engines also and catch some flack from some in my club but that is alright. Glenn

Trust me, It wasn't my intention to start any flack.....That engine looks great, clean or dirty makes no difference to me, just an observation on my part as I like my engines dirty, doesn't mean everyone does, again great job!!

Scott I wasn't meaning to disrespect you about the use of the "flack". I was trying to get Greg (Mountain Goat Greg) worked up a little. Truth is I wish I could get some of my stuff weathered; I just haven't tried to do any weathering before and I am scared that I will srew up something that I spent a lot of time creating. Sorry about my wording. Glenn

Glenn: None taken, I just wanted to make sure Michael knew that was not criticizing his work for not weathering his loco, I was more worried about the wording of my original response, no need to apologize to me I didn't take it as being disrespectful.

Thanks Scott, Modelmaker I did buy some weathering chalks but just haven't had the time to mess with them yet. Thanks Glenn
