Here are a couple of shots of my current project. I've slowed actual work to research some details and I think I've got them ready to go.

Thanks guys.
Glen, they are Athearn, I missed the undecs when they came out so I had to put these in the dip tank. Some parts needed to be changed out so hello Cannon.
Greg, these will get the simplified green & orange. I have some Rail Power shells that will be Big Sky Blue.

David, sorry for the delay in answering your query. There's not much new to report. I'm waiting for some parts and I've been distracted by some non-modelling things. I've never been a speed modeller like some of the other guys here, so please bear with my slow pace.

Hey Steve,
Good start eh? It looks like a fun build with the smoke deflectors... I have a set of those, but I'm not sure which I want to put them on.

According to the GN Color Pictorial, Volume 2, GN had 3, 405, 408 & 413. I'm pretty sure they made it to the merger in 1970. I found pictures of all 3 in BN paint and none had the shields, I guess the BN didn't think much of them.

Steve,
these units are really coming along nicely. I really like your snow shields are they a commercial pieve or a scratchbuild?

Very cool...you mean you're not going to do "Hustle Muscle"? The GN color scheme has always been a favorite of mine. And Greg, the snow shields are by Details West, part #194. Keep us posted

Steve those look great, I love the Green and Orange. Beautiful Job on those 45s!! My first train kit of any kind was a taconite/ore car by Roundhouse in GN(And I still have it 30+ years later), so although I do not model GN, it always has a special place in my heart.
