I think it looks more like a DD35. But its very clever to articulate all cars like that.

Definitely an Athearn DD40 cab. Underframe is Bachmann DD40AX. If I had to guess, someone had a whack of leftover parts.

Oh, I know what they look like - thanks for the pics, though.
Only two non-brass models of the big DDs have ever been released, Athearn's standard-cab DD40 and Bachmann's UP DDA40X. The Bachmann has sharper truck detail, is easier to find, and is the correct length; the Athearn is the better runner and heavier puller.
