Roberts thread got me thinking about a past project that I did. It is a Bachmann HO 3 truck shay that I converted to On30. I built the cab from styrene and added a few scale details such as the stack, headlight, bell, generator, and the whistle and pop valves. I also used PBL Sn3 handrail stanchions on the boiler. The domes were made by laminating styrene pieces together and then sanded to the proper contour. I then made a mold and cast them using resin.
It was a fun build!
