Atlas Dash 8 40BW sideframes removal

I picked up a BNSF Dash8 40BW 2nd hand. I was going to paint and weather the wheel faces, but, dont know how to remove the sideframes! The unit didnt come with the instruction sheet so that isnt a help! Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks, Riss

You need to remove the bottom of the gear box, then it will release the pins which hold the sideframes on.
