g'day, I'm in the process to detail my first H0 model (done a lot in N scale but the eyes...) I did use MbE steps but I am not sure if I did it right, so before I do all four steps the wrong way I better ask... ...is this the right way to put them on ? what are you doing on top ? are you using new diamond plate for the whole front porch ? thank you for your help...

The edge of the steps should be flush with the side sill. The end plates on GMDD SD40's is wider than their EMD cousins.

Doug thank you... ...ok, I'll try that, guess I have to add some styrene to the endplate first. but should I keep the original deck (diamond plate) and mount the new steps underneat or are there diamond plates with the same structure as the walkway available ? (I know they are available in N scale from BLMA...)

Steve, Depending on the unit number of the CP SD40-2 there are several changes of the step configuration... ...ok, it's ex CP #5782 now CN #5391 wow ! very impressive your detail parts, any chance that you will offer the steps and end plates for N scale as well... ?
