Custom Decals - sealing

I am working on some custom decals using a colour laser copier and blank decal paper. To seal them, I was going to use Microscale Decal liquid film, which I have used before with a brush or Q-tip, but if it pools, it can dissolve the ink.
Anyone ever spray this with an airbrush? What do you use to thin it?

I've used Testors Decal Sealer successfully in the past. It comes in a spray can, it's maybe $3 or $4 at most.
