Not really 'Dash Era' anymore, but not really anywhere else to post this so here goes... This one is a quick 'in and out' project, if I had all the stuff I need when I started I could've done it in a couple hours. As it is I have been working on it a few minutes at a time for a couple weeks now. The detail kit Walthers puts out for these is a huge time saver, and includes all of the grab irons plus cut levers for each end. Other than that, so far I have removed and blanked over the first dynamic brake vent on each side behind the cab to match the prototype, added Details West MU hoses, spare knuckles on the rear (also DW), a Hi-Tech details GPS dome, and replaced the numberboards with Details West parts as I feel Walthers made them a little undersized. The number boards were done with Microscale decals, using the black backgrounds from their number board backgrounds sheet, and numbers from a CP AC4400 sheet I had laying around from another project. All that's left to do is add the windshield wipers and a few other parts, and do the rest of the touch up painting.
