I was wondering if anybody out there has ever assembled one of the custom finishes kits I have a few that I saved from my golden years haha. Anyway all of the pieces that I have used failed to do the job I've even gone as far as to contact Loctite and they told me of a product but they don't sell it commercially anymore and it's not available in any of the regular supply stores any suggestions would be tremendously appreciated

I have used contact cement, epoxy and ACC, all with equal success. Regardless of the adhesive, always clean the parts thoroughly.

Thank you very much for your suggestions so far no matter how clean I have made the surfaces most of the superglues don't seem to work very well. I contacted Loctite in they don't handle the product anymore so I'm trying to come up with something new anyway we'll keep you informed certainly do appreciate the help

You can also try roughing the smooth contact surfaces with sandpaper to give the joint a little "tooth" for the adhesive.
